Those are not the sort of cars you shouldn't like Steve. They are the sort you should.

Especially the one that had a higher top speed than the F1 or the Veyron, in 1989.

The only issues are the fact that the Citroen and the Scaab drive the incorrect wheels.

I was expecting more along the lines of

Trabant
Kia Pride
Toyota Tercel
Nissan Figaro

This thread has a mental Corvette, a tuned Saab, a Fench design classic loaded with technology, a 'crap' mustang and Roger Moore's Volvo... None of them are cars you shouldn't like!

I thought it was 255.6 FEF, but I could be wrong.

I've got an early issue of World Sports Cars somewhere with a feature on it (plus the Lister XJS and the only 959 convertible in existence) and I remember that once it reaches 255ish, that the speedo starts counting backwards!

Don't forget the Skoda Favorit Robin.

It does just seem to be a cool car thread though doesn't it.

On topic though, I really shouldn't like my RS as it's got plastic bits and no live axle. But I do like it because it is very fast and exciting and it handles like a Mini.

I know Wiki isn't always accurate but still...

Horsepower: 898 bhp (670 kW) @ 6200 rpm
Torque: 772.2 lb·ft (1,046.96 N·m) @ 5250 rpm
BHP/Liter: 157.54 bhp (117.48 kW; 159.73 PS)/Liter
Power-to-weight ratio: 0.565 bhp (0.421 kW; 0.573 PS)/kg
Top Speed: 254.8 mph (410.1 km/h)
0 - 60 mph (97 km/h) acceleration: 3.9 seconds
1/4 Mile: 10.6 seconds

Either way, its fucking fast!

Hmmm, I could have sworn it had roughly a thousand horsepower. I'll have to have a hunt for the magazine.
