hi just a quick question,i have a corsa 1.6 16v and want to remove my air con pump and power steering pump,what belt do i need to use and is there an idler pullys needed to put in place of the pumps or is the whole thing not that simple to do. any help will be much appriciated thanks.

first of all u need new engine bracket  i did remove my air con pump only ... and left PAS pump .. , buy a engine mount from corsa 1.6 8v or 14 8v engine andtake of both pump, then take ur old drive belt, cut it and mesaure how long belt u need .. BUT u will need a tensioner, probably drive belt tensioner from z16xe ... ;-)

Check in my project thread for some pics of ac / non ac bracket.
I removed the ac only.
Used original tensioner.
Used an auxiliary belt off a non-ac 1.6 with pas.
As for non-pas also, I'm afraid most the above is probably of no help....?

Cheers mate. How do I know 100% what tensioner I'll need? Isit simple to bolt straught on the block?

I may be missing something here but if you remove the PAS Pump and the AC Pump then you will only need a short belt from Alternator to Bottom Pully and you can nust tension that using the alternator as it's on a sliding bracket?
