Ive knocked myself a shower room into the house by knocking a couple of cupboards into one. Ive to put a door in a supporting, single brick wall, the wall is carrying the stairs if that makes a difference. What size concrete lintel do I need? Its part of an extension project so will be subject to building control.
Also if its part of the project then what size does the door need to be? Can I put a normal frame in or does it have to be a size suitable for disables access because Its new? Bearing in mind my door will be in an exsisting part of the house

K9 robeslee concrete lintel with minimum 150mm end bearing each side will be more than enough and theyre very cheap.
As its structural building control may ask for an engineers approval.
Is your house new enough to accommodate level/accessible access to any of the external doors?
