Was a great episode, glad some of the police have a heart while on duty. He deserved to get to holland. Sad ending but what a legend of a man

Turns out he's a 90+ WW2 vet, paras I think. All his family inc wife and kids have passed away and there's only him left, add to that he was on his way to Hull to catch a ferry to Holland for a forces reunion. Doesn't have courtesy car cover on his insurance but the coppers ring round, find a hire company that will lend him a car (for 5 weeks and to take abroad) and take him and all his stuff to pick it up. Ends up making the ferry but dies while he's out there. He was planning on doing another parachute jump while he was there too.

The free advertising was probably worth the journey

Some pretty decent traffic coppers on that show, to be honest I think the traffic officers tend to be the best of the bunch, its the beat offices and PCO's that seem to have a chip on their shoulder..

The incident with the Green Focus made my piss boil though! The idiot driving was already banned because had killed someone in a previous accident... I hope they cut his knackers off and feed them to him.
