I bought an astra about... errr 6 months ago

Didn't get around to applying for V5.
I'm about to do it now.

If I tell them I bought it 6 months ago, will I get a fine or anything? So when I call should I say I've just bought it?

Why call them?? You will have to send off an application form anyway.

As above.. The call centre won't give a f**k.. Just post the application, if they question it just lie and say its the second application as the other one must have got lost in the post.

do you have the green slip? if so fill in along with v62, take to post office and alls good. If you dont have green slip its v62 and £25

Tell them you bought it 3 months ago. It's free then iirc, rather than 20 odd quid.

I did that with mine as the previous owner didn't send off the details.
