I have a Astra gsi mk4, just changed the engine and the engine has 10k miles less than the shell, I have the clocks from the mk4 the engine came out off... Of I swap the clocks will I get the miles from car the engine came from? Just wondered... Wasn't sure if the mileage was stored In The clocks or ecu? Cheers

If you need to rewind your miles to suit the engine look up a guy named harry wormwood, he'll sort you out.

Why would you want it to show 10k miles less than its done. Unless you made it clear the car had actually done that extra 10k when you sell it, that's illegal.

Mileage is for the CAR not the engine..

It's stored in the clocks anyway. Can be changed via OP-COM.

It is pretty illegal though.
