But i have been called it many times already by some of my mates. Sold my M3 and wanted a v8 to smoke around in for a while so bought this. Has Stainless exhaust system fitted so sounds like war

Didn't pay much for it as it was broken into and the radio was stolen so it got put on the register
Even got 28 mpg on the way home which isn't bad for a 5.0 V8

They look like 997 Turbo wheels and they do not suit it.
Get some AMG wheels on there.

Cracking motors apart from when anything goes tits up. Brace yourself for the potential for big bills.
And get some period AMG rims on the old girl She deserves to be treated with more respect

Not a massive fan of the wheels myself but then again, i only intend to use this for a few months as i have been saving up the pennies and after selling the M3, once I have sold this i'm going to be on the hunt for a 996

Not before '96 they didn't.
Almost everything after that is built like a Mondeo Davey

Tbh the most problematic things on these are the air suspension parts and these haven't long been replaced so it's all good. Will have to get a noise video

I remember being sat in my local Merc dealer, waiting on the miserable parts man.
And heard one of the service advisers announce to a chap with the V12 variant of this car, that it was going to cost just a shade over five hundred pounds to have his spark plugs changed.

If you remember back to the challenge where him and Hammond buy super luxurious motors for the price of a new Kia or some shit you had James May professing that something will break with a huge repair bill because of the age of the car. Clarkson had one of these and Hammond had an 8 series, lo and behold 3 weeks later and they were out of pocket by a few bob.
Kindly wind you neck in.

Good job this one isn't for you then
Hardly bland. I would say it has far more road presence that the likes of a 182 or leon cupra that people are always told to buy because the internet approves

I wonder how you can be grands out of pocket when the entire cars don't cost that.
Probably not the car for someone who's just going to book it in somewhere.
I'd have one. Would need to be standard though.

Generation, are you not the guy who used to complain about people being arseholes? Case of can't beat them, join them?
It's about as un-bland a type of car as you can get imo

How am I being an asshole?
I've given my opinion of the car, I haven't insulted anybody, I just find it bland
You say it's not bland, should I shoot you down because I don't disagree?
The whole
