Can I put let pistons in a x20xe with cams and head work to put a mini charger on it to run 200bhp reliably or am I talking crap? I'm just toying with cheap options to have a play

Z20let or z20leh pistons, cut outs are different.

Though honestly I'd got for a bigger charger if changing pistons

Correct me if I'm wrong but C20let pistons are forged and Z20let ones aren't, so makes more sense fitting c20 ones

If c20let pistons fit that would be good too! What sort of power can they take and be reliable? I'd be using steel rods and arp fasteners

540!!! I think I can safely say they'll do what I need lol I might up it to a merc or jag charger if I find one at the right price

I'd use leh pistons they are cheap brand new from vauxhall, 60quid irc with rings,
Oh and I know some one who ran 500bhp + on stand z20let pistons.

Also c20lets will need the bowls machining depending what comp ratio you want as the bowls smaller than z20let/z20leh pistons (which are made for this engine).

Cheers gazza that's a big help. I just wanna know what need to start collecting bits as and when money allows. I'm thinking 300bhp supercharged engine in a corsa will be plenty and nice to drive. Turbo's and me don't get on too well so charged is the best option lol
