Clever shit.
Read an article not long ago about a soldier, I think it was, who had a severe injury on his forearm.
Instead of amputating, as would have been the usual procedure, the doctor removed the mans (mostly undamaged) hand and attached it to his armpit.
After reconstructive work of his forearm was done (several months later) the hand was reattached.
Can't locate the article right now, but here's a (mildly gross) picture of the armpit hand:

What's disgusting about it?
It's an impressive display of how far science has taken us.

Actually, that's technically wrong...
It's not the fact that it looks disgusting that is disgusting.
What's disgusting about it, is the way it looks. Namely, disgusting.

Sorry, I mistakenly thought you meant it was disgusting, not that it looked disgusting.
In that case we agree.

It is truly, staggeringly brilliant.
But I did almost reach, the second I clapped eyes on it.
If I woke up with a hand sewn to my armpit, I think i'd just scream like a terrified madman until I passed out or died

Worse bit about the arm would be rolling over in bed on a night. Bad enough when you have an arm in a cast etc, but a hand attached to your side!
