A mate of mine has had this for a little while, we finally got round to getting it running and mot'd
not exactly the best time to get it out but it gives him time to sort out the paint and little bits over winter now we know it works properly
anyways, just a few pics after we had it running, snapped the throttle cable so we were midway through changing that
As you can see, it still needs minting up, but it runs, drives and sounds beautiful!

Haha it's actually a lot Easyer to drive than you think.
I mentioned the wheel to him and he said it doesn't bother him because he learnt to drive in something aomething digger/tipper (I can't remember the name of it) when he was a kid and the steering wheel came straight out the floor on that.

I do have a video. Nothing spectacular though mate. I'll get a better one next time he's round
Engine is a 3.5 v8, can't remember what carbs it's running and that but it's not a standard engine. Not stupidly fast but it is a nippy little thing. Scary as fooook to drive aswell

I must be the odd one out because that does absolutely NOTHING for me?
It looks like someone fitted the smallest V8 they could find to a babies pram?

Try and move it/fabricate something less upright

I've realised I dont love it because it's more of a Munster's hot rod than a Boyd Coddington hot rod if you know what I mean

I get what alan-g-w means but his opinion is wrong.
That looks amazing apart from the steering position I lol'd like everyone else, but you can see how much effort he's put into it!

I think when we get the engine and that back out of it over winter we will probably fab up the steering properly. Only problem being there is almost no space in the tub. So we may have to re arrange the pedals aswell

That wheel arrangement is a fairly typical affair for a T Bucket in my experience.
I think it's done like that to allow more leverage, because of the type of steering mechanism the T uses.

That could be why haha.
Small update. He now has no baffles in either of the exhausts, I've set up the linkage to the throttle flaps on the scoop properly. Had loads of slack and wasn't opening up properly.
Revs much smoother now
And I've finally got round to sticking a new engine mount on the nearside. Old one was goosed, could see the engine pulling over as you accelerated
