After she binned the GTR this was bought about a week later. Initially a bare rolling shell with the panel, cage and gearbox.
Engine Build is under way, Susp and brakes on their way.
here is a wee teaser after it came back from the bodyshop
Monthly build feature in Banzai mag if you fancy a read and look at better pics (better than I take!). We dont really have full car pics yet.

some build pics.... build so far.
pretty much threw the Whiteline catalogue at the front end. The rear will use HardRace arms, once they arrive.
AIM dasg in flocked dashboard. Custom car and engine loom, using Syvecs S6 GP.
rear end cut out for fuel cell sump. 40l foam filled cell fitted. Has capacity to run twin pumps but will use one 044 for now.
Engine... will use a 2.2 closed deck block and Lateral Performance stroker kit to make a 2.35l 4 pot Impreza. VVT (AVCS) heads, reversed inlet with ported TGV deletes
The front end
new and old

Going to love this car! Will be keeping an eye on the progress. The r32 was a great car but lacked the looks, this one should be perfect.

the cage...
what it used to look like
on its way to the bodyshop
its wheels... 3 sets of these. 2x White, 1x black. All 9" wide
some random engine bits n bobs. The inlet is the one above, pre painting/tidy. AVCS heads
Fuel tank 'mod' - fitting a sight gauge!
boxed in, more over the rear axle
big Ghey wing trial. It wont run this wing for long, if at all. I've repaired it but it took a bit of damage during her GTR crash.
empty bay hopefully not for long.
cleaned up arches, waiting for suspension and brakes to arrive

Is that fuel filler neck going to work? Seems to have a very odd angle on the cap, most of them end up with a bowl on them to make cleaning up spillage easier, like the mk2 escort rally boys use. Yours seems odd.

it works, but the neck isnt designed for this car to be honest. It came from the GTR.
I'm planning to change it slightly, but not going to simply put a bowl in it because others do
We use a pump for refueling, it has a hose the goes into the neck.

to be honest it wasnt top of our list, BUT for the cost of them and the budget constraints they were hard to ignore.
We had BC ER on the GTR for a while and couldnt fault them.
3way Nitron were what we wanted but they dont make them KW 3way were about 5k all in or somthing daft.

Yeah there's a massive price gulf it seems once you get to the ~£1500 region.
What spring rates have you gone for?
