get a back box that you like & then get a straight thru pipe (powerflow will do it for £40) replacing the centre silencer, that will be loud

I have a Sebring 6x4 oval exhaust - full system (back box and pipe from the cat back which replaces the central silencer).
I can tell you that the above exhaust is too quiet if you just get the back box - you need to get a full system with any exhaust. I also have a 1.2 (16v SXi, X-Reg).
So there you go - my recommendation is the Sebring. Got it fitted at R-Tec too, they do a pretty good job there.
(Getting my K&N today, yay!)

I have a Magnex 6x4 Oval and it is wicked !! I think it all depends on how noisey or quiet youo want the car to be..... Which will then depend if you want to remove the silencer..... I have not removed the silencer, but with my K&N the engine sounds wicked at high revs and then when idle-ing the car sounds mean with the magnex exhaust.
It just gives me the element of suprise when racing, as it only sounds mean at high revs and more people try race me cos they think i have a standard system........ So when i kick ass they sure can hear me fly by...

generally an exhasut system on a corsa will consist of a cat, then centre box, then back box, a straight thru pipe is a piece of pipe which replaces the centre silencer, meaning its only the backbox that silences the engine noise, meaning its much louder than std!!

ah so a cat back, is the same as getting a back box, and a straight through pipe.

i had a rear box with no silencer, defo louder but didnt make much difference, its the middle silencer that needs changing to make much difference to the sound.

Just ordered a magnex 6x4 oval instead, but would sell it if i could get a remus!!!
