Picked up my new car on Friday, only just had the chance to give it a half decent wash, not yet had chance to get some wax on it though. Thought I would share it with you all on here

Only decent picture so far!

This has got tail pipes that look like the Milltek, but it's a standard exhaust I'm not bothered about making much noise!

Yeah the MK6's are nice, but you're looking at an extra £4-5k for the cheapest GTI's! This was up at £9k but I got a decent P/X price on my Cooper S, my plate transfer paid for etc...

I'm a diesel head, in the 3 years I've been driving every one of my cars has been diesel :lol
Surely a 3.0 golf or whatever they are averages less than 20mpg?

It's no worse than my Cooper S was before this, averaged around 26mpg on my first tank, that's calculated and not just taken from the cars computer. No where near what you'd get from a diesel, but then if you're caning a diesel everywhere you aren't going to be averaging much more than 30mpg anyway.

I love these although I'd have to change the grill and wheels. Awesome interiors in these. My neighbours nephew has one in grey and it owns my Clio when it's sat next to it jealous.

There actually pretty good on fuel lol, I saw 28-32mpg about town and on a long run 35+. I wouldn't go for the miltek tbh, the quality of them is shocking. The best one for noise and performance has to be the neuspeed, very expensive tho.

The worst thing about these cars are the price of tax, £470 a year is a hard pill to swallow compared to the performance the car makes.

Yeah, providing you're not keeping your right foot flat all the time the MPG isn't too bad.

Main reason I went for this one, being a 55 plate it's the pre-2006 tax band, so only £280/£290 a year. The same I was paying on my little Mini

Judging by the 'R32' badge on the front grille, i'd say it's an R32...
