Whats the difference between the cupra r tdi and the cupra tdi?

I had the cupra tdi and found it shit. Brakes were good and it was quite quick but other than that it was shit.
Sounded like a tractor whilst stationary, ride comfort was awful, interior looks wank reminded me of a taxi and it rattled constantly because of the hard suspension.

Ride and interior were much worse than the equivalent Fabia I found. Good run around though if you are getting it cheap.

Common problems:

DMF
Injector loom (easy fix)
Console bushes (again, easy fix).

Other than that, great cars

I had the FR TDI Ibiza, owned it for about 5 years.

Build quality of the interior wasn't great, ride quality wasn't good either - but then I'd put lowering springs on it so I probably deserve it.

Engine wise it got really neglected from my point of view, limited servicing - remap to 160ish and gave it death most of the 60k miles I put on it.

Aslong as the engines are strong and its not mechanically gunna fall to bits then im no too fussed about much esr since it litterally is run around.. Plus.. It has got to be better ride quality than my vx.

I had the 54 plate petrol cupra going back a few years and had no mechanical problems that I can remember in the years ownership. Was only a few years old at the time though. Ride was very firm, but it was a fun little car.

I had a 2007 Cupra TDI, loved it. Was pretty damn fast, looked good. Sounded great (for a diesel) with a fill milltek exhaust. I'd have another!

I've got a 2004 TDi FR which is the model down and I love it. Fantastic little car. £2500 is a right bargain for a Cupra!

Mine had about 30k miles.

Autotrader seems to agree as well, 4.5k would be good going.

You can get new shape sports for 6.5k.

Looked on autotrader there's a 57 plate red one at 5.6k mine has more options including factory xenons has a garret turbo upgrade, egr delete pd160 intake seat sport strut brace and a stage 1 map so I think putting mine up at 6750 isn't too bad, id take 6250 for it, well looked after fsh and a fresh ticket on it with fresh tax new tyres brakes and comes with a spare engine for someone to do a big build if they wish or sell it on at profit (these are bought for upto 800/900 alone.
