Just seen it on the adverts, looks quite funk for an electric car.

That's shockingly ugly, why not just make electric cars look normal?

Very good question, I've wondered the same.

Only reason I can think is that currently, there's not a big economical benefit from buying hybrid or electrical compared to smaller diesel and petrol engined cars, hence the manufacturers have to make it an image thing.

People who drive an electrical or hybrid have to feel and look like they're driving "the future".

Also note the use of the colour blue, that all manufacturers have adopted to signal "hybrid" and "electrical".

I like the front and the side but the back isn't quite right for me.

The range extender version will be brilliant, no worries about it running out of electricity then.

Unsure what the need is for the window in the rear doors to be like that. Looks odd.
