Can't see an issue with the towels.
From the pictures, the applicators are closer to a kitchen sponge than a foam applicator.

This, the cloths are only a couple of quid more expensive and I think you possibly get 48.

I've had cheap ebay applicators before, they're fine but really small and flimsy - pretty much only get one use out of them.

As Kyle said about the applicators, I tend to use them for trims and tyres then bin them, although have reused them before but for that price there isn't much point.

I've got g3 applicator pads, can get them from halfords. At £6 for 2 ( 1 of each) they're a bt expensive but are good and mine have lasted a good while

The Eurow Detailer's Preference cloths (available from Costco) come in packs of 36 for about £13. Also Screwfix have packs of 50 on offer for £20 at the moment. not sure what they're like though.
The tri-foam applicators are a favourite of mine - they're £3.50 each but do a great job and you can just clean them out and use them a whole load of times.

If you don't have a costco account or one near you I have loads here and will happily sell you a bag at cost price a lot of places on eBay try and double there money on them if that's any help to you

My local Asda does a pack of the coloured Kent Mircofibres for £2.99 for a 6 pack.

The applicators look like the Meguiars ones I use, although cheaper, cant speak about quality. I got mine for £4.99 from Halfords for 2.

The ebay ones are fine. I used them but paid more from a uk source so I could get them quicker.
I used about 8 and I think only one started losing bits off it.

And I also use those costco microfibres. They're great and cheap too, so usually throw them away after using them a few times.

Asda microfibres feel good in person. I looked at them in store.

They're not the best. They don't absorb as much water as the costco ones.

The Asda ones are ok for things like interiors and seem to wash well. They are about half the size of the Cosco ones though
