So was looking at some finance for a new car, spotted this
Someone said that the car would end up being £18k at the end if you paid the optional final payment. Is that right, i dont think it is but maths was never my strong point!

I worked it out as £14484 over the term, including the final payment.
You could get a bank loan for cheaper though, so worth checking out.

As above but you would pay £13,984 as the dealer contributes the £500
