As above really I have seen a fair few people sack them of to go on bigger better things and im in the same situation myself! don't see many on the roads these days either, let alone modified ones.
just opening a can of worms as I haven't been on here for a while and im reverting mine back to stock and flogging it all early next year- hence this topic really.

reckon in another 10 years time is when the corsa b boom will happen again personally when the majority are settled have a few spare disposable ££'s and reliving our youth I think. just thinking out loud really

See plenty of them at the Shows etc still. 
On the other hand though, the earliest ones are 20 years old now. It's just natural progression for them to be less popular and less frequently seen normally.

Mine is 20 years old next year. Can't say I've seen another corsa gsi on the roads in the last 6 months. Makes them rare and special. Genuine head turners indeed.

Nova went through this phase. Currently classed as a chav wagon in 5/7 years GSi/SRi will be seen as a true classic

To be totally honest with you, Corsa Bs drive like absolute shit in comparison with the Nova, same chassis but lacks that spark.

Quite a lot of Corsa rally cars turning up nowadays, one for sale over here with a 225bhp 1.6 engine. Thing is faster than a lot of Group N Evo's and Mk2 Escorts!

I will have another at some point. I genuinely miss it, even with the 1.0 I found it a laugh, not having another red one though 
Shame about mine is that I sold it perfectly mint with 30k on the clock in feb and the new owners have utterly smashed it to bits  it's only a car but I looked after it so well

I still love driving and showing my corsa, over the summer got a lot of comments from older guys saying it's amazing to still see such a clean and well looked after example. Pictures of it taken in petrol stations and when I park it up anywhere. So people definitely appricate them that bit more .. Any ones I see locally are showing there age alot

They are at the point where welding/bodywork comes into play and brings alot of costs with it. Why mod a corsa b when you can buy a vxr for the same money?

Find I get a lot if hate from the younger guys & the finance generation for having a modded Corsa b. the older lot appreciate the work and say it's good to see a fairly clean example. I myself still enjoy the car and enjoy messing about with it, it doesn't matter how much I cut it about as it's only a cheap easy to work on car IMO.
It's handy having a second car as a daily though I don't think I could drive the Corsa all the time

Ive found that not many people want to drive modded corsas but still like the comments I get about mine and actually can't wait to get it back on the road

I'd have another one day, they are so much fun with a big engine, and nice and easy to work. I think in another 10 years they might be worth more, once they are as rare a sight as a Nova.

Just think things move on. Don't see Novas on the road, and all 'B's' are usually 1.2 8v that just go on and on and on. That, or 2.0 16v's (as 1.2 on logbooks )
Thing is' B's were about in my late teens, and now I'm in my 30's Cars have moved forward in the last 10 years so fast, that the B is really dated. It was good as it was the last "simple" Vauxhall really though. Most of us got older, most have sprogs to pay for now and have something big, slow, reliable, and boring. Some of us just realised that you can get bigger, faster, more reliable and better in every way cars, as a standard daily driver (another reason I can't pull my finger out and sell our LET Corsa B :S ).
I used to be the crazy bloke who was obsessed with his Corsa. Grew up, moved to bikes as its faster and cheaper, save the moniez for a better road car. The scene moved on.
I still hanker for a nice fully rebuilt, quick corsa, but realistically, I'd never own one again. Simply no point.
Nova GSi a true classic, Not quite. Lotus Cortinas, early Escorts etc are classics. I can't see many folk wanting a Corsa/Nova GSi sitting in their museum in 20 years time

I only just bought one as a daily drive at 29 so i can relive being 18 again best thing next to pulling a college bird lol
I picked one as a daily driver for my commute to save my "bigger better car" (defender) as I originally wanted a nova but theyre too pricey now... although I've just accidentally bought a shell lol

my sri is 20 years old now. i think the newer generation are in to euro smooth look alot more. where as me personaly and probabley a fair few more people on here are in to the more 80's early 90's cars. think is all down to personal preference really. i just like the looks i get when i drive mine and the waste gate opens the confused look on people's face's is priceless
