Anyone watch this on Channel 4 the other day??? It gives a no holds barred look at what they have to put up with every weekend. Very interesting stuff and it shows how much shit they have to take from the drunken gobshites.

I worked in a pub for 6 years or so, I had to deal with twats, they have to deal with twats, generally just joking with them works, if it doesnt then you remove them
Can't argue that some of them are power hungry pricks. But most are fine as long as you're not a dick towards them. The ones at our place were all sound and only did what they needed to do

I know one of the bouncers that was on it. He didn't say anything but was walking behind the one carrying the girl outside. Hes an absolute monster in real life.

Watched last weeks one, quite enjoyed it.
That black guy was proper old skool and hard, whereas the young guy seemed a bit of a pussy. Probably still break me in two right enough.

The young lad reckoned he'd never been in a fight in his life. Not being funny, but you surely need to have mixed it a few times to be a bouncer? Even if its so you can defend yourself.
I know these days its not meant to be about fighting but you will need to get involved occasionally.

Some of them are absolute tossers. If you are of a similar build and height to them, you get on no bother and probably have a bit of banter. If however you are shiort and scrawny you will probably be on the end of some jumped up power hungry prick that failed in life so he is taking it out on someone who's life is actually going somewhere.

Do have an example of a guy at work arguing with a bouncer in town, he was pissed and he was only mouthing off, the bouncer threatened to break his arm  Then when he realised that wasn't going to deter him he called over 3 other larger bouncers to help. Cowards.

Alex (the young lad with a daughter) is a really nice bloke. He used to house share with my missus' brother.
The two at Silk Road are absolute wankers, Curtis especially. Loves causing a fight rather than preventing.
Obviously its edited to make it look worse than it is, but Colchester is a pretty shit night out. Watching this show makes me glad I only go out for friends birthdays etc now. Used to do every Friday and Saturday and most Thursdays between 2008-10.
