my corsa b (1999) failed its mot because the outrigger is a bit rotten and a few holes have appeared im wondering how i would go about fixing this, my origional idea was to just plate over it, is this wise?

Outrigger?

Surely would be easier to scrap and find a more solid shell as it will just end up turning into a money pic IMO.

cut out the rot and weld it up. check out the rest of the car first to see if theres anymore rot on its way. in which case do what simon said and get a better shell.

its my first car so hoping it just lasts the year after being plated, then I'll look into getting myself another
