Crap description but -
quote:
Unveiled at this week’s Los Angeles Auto Show, Subaru has taken the proverbial sheet off of its new 2015 WRX. The car, replacing the existing Impreza WRX, looks ready to perform coast-to-coast victory laps with improved milage and air intake, wide body, and powerful fine-tuned engine. The 2.0 liter engine puts out 268 horsepower and a forceful 258 lb-feet of torque, allowing it to zip to 60mph in about 5.4 seconds. Designed with ferocious power despite its invitingly spacious interior, the inside of the car has been expanded to include more leg room in the cabin, with nifty lit dials contrasting a premium leather interior. Look for more news on the Subaru WRX as it arrives over the next few months.

Looks ok from the front but that side profile looks proper shit. Needs a decent spoiler like the old ones.
Power figures seem ok, although probably won't interest the pub talk crew.

How are you meant to.change gear with that monstrosity of a handbrake in the way? I thought it may just be the way the picture was taken, but the handbrake is on the left of the gearstick, rather than the right. Even if it goes completely horizontal, it'll still be in the way to an extent.

Different wheels and a spoiler will sort the outside.
Not sure why they're going backwards with engine power though... Unless this one will do 40mpg

I quite like it, very Seat/Audi/Legacy/Volvo* in design
*Looks a bit Toledo, side has a hint of Audi A4, back reminds me more of a Legacy and the front wing and indicator looks like a Volvo. In before I'm grilled!

It's down on power for 2015, hot hatches will have about 400 by then.

Yeah not a fan of it at all really. The front looks ok
They either need to stick to there original designs or keep with the hatchback that they seemed to disown rather fast.

Would be interested to see the STI version, any recent WRX doesn't look very special.

If you're comparing it to a "WRX" of yesteryear, then no it's gained power. However, if my understanding is correct, "Impreza" has now been dropped and it's simply called the "Subaru WRX" across the range.
With that in mind, the power figures quoted are potentially the "top of the line" specs (they often are at such unveilings) meaning that it is indeed "down" on the 300+ STI's they've released of late.
That's my thinking anyway, and I reckon the UK will still get the 2.5 engine.
