Lovely job of pulling off the Q car look. Right down to the bumpers, wheels and ride height.

Beautifully executed.

I'd love to know roughly what life expectancy in miles, his clutch, gearbox, prop shaft, drive shafts and back axle all have though.

I'd be interested to know how long the engine is likely to last, using that kind of boost too.

All that aside. What a brilliant little car.

Edit: edited for cretinous punctuation.

Like how it sounds like a car accelerating. Most of these high power turbo 4 pots just sound shit. Like constant banging and ill running sounds.

Mostly bang due hitting rev limiters. It's not ill running at all, it's called lack of traction due to being fwd mostly. The golf in the video still spins up banging off the limiter, which I think seems to suggest you are spam bantering like normal.

8.657 and 266kmh apparently. Ridiculous for a standard looking car with all it's seats etc.

Possibly one of my favourite cars I've seen on the net this year.

I think there's some mild speedo error on that video.

For example, at 3:26 he's apparently doing over 240kmh (which is over 150mph) but the blue sign he's approaching doesn't come up as fast as it should do at those speeds.

Still very impressive though.

Its clearly spinning all 4 wheels when it comes on boost, and nics right, at 155mph things don't go past you as quick as you think, especially on a wide open empty motorway.

most of these cars have a haldex controller,
and you specify what power split you have for the set wheels speed,
to save excess drag/power consumption as you can get the power down.

so it could just be spinning the fronts by that speed

like this:

not really, not on motorways etc. especially not when its on film. everything looks slower on film

edit - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyZ0kd4alo0 thats 163mph, on a speed trap. my second run was 173 and it won't have looked any faster if you look at the stuff out side the car
