Reading round I think I need a 'switch', is this correct? And if so, do these things need a separate power point or can it work 'passively'? I'm trying to decide if it's worth getting a homeplug with 2 or more ports built into it or just get one of these switches?
BTW it's for my TV and BluRay player, which do not have WiFi built in, not just poor wireless signal
Thx

You'd be better off getting g one with 2 Potts in if its possible.
But yeah, a switch would be what's needed otherwise. You can get homeplgus with pass through so you can still plug into them. I'm guessing it'll be more hassle than its worth getting the switch.
And I doubt you can get a passive one, but not positive

No reason you couldn't get an unmanaged switch, like the one above.

I'll keep an eye out for stock of it, my plugs are tplink as well but assume there shouldn't be any issues mixing different brands of hardware, guessing they are all roughly the same inside

Just get the same speed gen - brands are ok as long as you dont have encryption running)

More expensive than a basic unmanaged switch but not as tidy.
