Why don't you break it? You'll be very lucky to find someone who will want to buy the car, and you'll need to be very patient for someone to come along with that kind of money.

5k starting bid will be the problem lol, my puma was up for 2k, I don't see this being 3k+ better spec in second hand guise.

The second paragraph doesn't make any sense since its an auction.
5k is far too much imo even with just a quick scan of the ad. Could you not near enough build it for about that money?

This means nothing though mate. The audience for this car is tiny. You should not of built it expecting not to lose alot of money tbf.
Also why didnt your mate just buy this?

I wasn't expecting not to lose money I threw the money at it to get it competitive. I'm in no rush to sell the car, don't really want to break it so if it doesn't sell it shall sit in my garage and maybe come out for the odd track day.
My mate is building an Astra didn't want a corsa.

Have to agree with the other on here.
Its got a mild engine spec, there are upgraded parts everywhere, but its not like its a full track spec car, with full adjustable top mounts and such. Its got a lot of work, and a lot of money in parts, but its a limited market.
IMO, you've got 2 better options.
Wait a month or two before people start prepping for this years racing, where someone may buy it (again your in a limited class of car thats allowed racing or rallying)
Or
Strip it. More time consuming, but you'll make much more back.
You won't ever get anything back from a car thats been modified, doesn't matter how well/bad its done. I've seen higher spec track corsas/novas go for less money I'm afraid (higher tuned engine, quaiff boxes, adjustable everything etc).
Good luck with the sale though.

its a shame because its obviously worth the money ! but the market just isn't there.
Breaking it surely would be the obvious option ?

You need to re-do the pictures as well. You've got a few pro pictures of it going round a track, and then random poorly lit and framed pictures. One picture has slide calipers, then you've got one from miles away with the Wilwoods.
Why don't you want to break it? I got 4k back from my old one, with a knacked engine and no cage.
Why not list it for 99p, with the 5k reserve to see what it will make.

The rears are pictured and the wilwoods are on the front.
It's too much hassle to break and your always gonna be left with crappy bits sitting around that no 1 wants.
I'm just gonna see how it goes, had a few questions/part ex offers so far through eBay.

Ah fair enough. You'll be surprised how well it all sells, the only thing I had trouble selling was my exhaust, the rest flew out of the door. You should be able to strip it in a weekend, then get a local scrap man to take the shell.
