My windscreen has 2 small marks in the 'zone' which they say affects the drivers vision.

The rules appear to say 'total damage not greater than 10mm in diameter' is fine.

Problem is, I have 2 separate marks which together are outside this, from stones that have flicked up. It's not a chip or crack, just a slight surface abrasion sort of thing.

MOT is due end of the month so wondered whether I need to get them sorted before or if they'll be ok until after the MOT?

Can you get a picture of them? Is it case of you can see them because you know they are there, and they ain't too bad?

My windscreen is covered in chips and scratches, I thought they'd pick up on them but it passed last MOT with no issues. As said, see if it'll pass and if not take it back for a free re-test.

pretty much what you've said tbh. Can't notice them until I look for them. They don't show up on camera as they're that small.

Hopefully be ok.

I spoke too soon. Had a frost a couple nights ago and a small crack has appeared, like tiny spider legs. Not that big at all though so will need to give my insurance company a ring tomorrow and pay the 25 quid repair excess.

Am I thinking of someone else, or was your windscreen the source of drama in the past? Leaking or something...

Lol yes, first replacement they brought was for a z4 coupe. Second one didnt have the factory tinted sunstrip.

Its been in less than a year the joys of driving on arterial roads.
