the red only looks good with certain colour cars, mines Cyprus green so would have looked tack. Polished my rocker cover too so looks almost as if it was produced like that lol

Not a fan tbh, Its one of those parts that's supposed to be a certain colour imo.
Be interested to see it fitted and I can understand the colour choice, but not for me.
Maybe a darker silver/anthracite with polished lettering if it really had to be anything but red.

Hmm, as said, they suit certain colours. IMO red or black; but depends on the colour scheme surrounding it.
Mine was once Matt black with the raised bits sanded back.
And now all black wrinkle finish.

like the matt black with polished look. not a fan off the wrinkle effect. its different though and that's the key. life would be boring if we all had the same...

What's the benefit of one of these and in what way is it a ram induction device?
Are they dear?

Its not really ram induction but more of a direct root from the tb to inlet. still uses the near meter long induction pipe. However it really does make a noticeable difference in mid/high revs and irons out flat spots normally associated with the xe's with standard induction setup. best £150 quid mod I've bought for noticeable gains in performance. hard to find now though unless you want to buy new (big bucks).

had a look for you can only get them new ordered form Germany and they are 415 euros excluding shipping. that's about £350 quid plus shipping on top. as said not cheap

Well, if I was still earning, I would be putting a small block in my Nova, so I would have been after one. But that's all pie in the sky now, owing to a back injury.
JR used to have one on his 'B'. He had a Mantzel at some point too.
I've never got round to asking him exactly how it functions though, or how effective it was and which was the better of the two. I've only ever heard good things about them though.
Academic now though, as i'm almost certainly going to have to sell the Nova.

I believe JR's is now mine.
I forget how far the line of owners goes back
One day I'll quit this money pit game Jim. You might be able to snaffle the complete thing (inlet and exhaust Mani and strut brace + a regal history of owners) off me if and when I see sense and stop spending

Was your one initially red Marcus?
I can never remember if Jim's was red, or if it was the Mantzel that was red. Or both.
Love the crackle finish btw Looks really modern and factory and cool.

Bloody hell!!! Tombola had it too?! What a lineage!
I might just buy it anyway and have it mounted on a marble plinth in the garden and have it flood lit
