My younger sister has been playing the trumpet now for a couple of years, borrowing one from her school to go to her lessons, anyway she's recently had a successful audition for the Birmingham brass band and with her birthday coming up I was looking to treat her to her very own.

Does anybody know anything about trumpets, what to look for and what to avoid. Looking to spend about £100-150 tbh and hoping something nice can be had for that sort of dough.

I think pics of your sister are required before giving advice.
With or without her blowing a trumpet.

You're probably better off finding a local music shop and speaking to someone in person! Don't know if many 'local music shops' exist, but I'm sure there must be some near to you or a short drive away. That's what I'd do anyway.

Yeah Deffo look for a local indi instrument shop. People who own them will know the instruments inside out.
