The BMW went before christmas as was a waste of money sat there as I didn't use it for work as seemed a waste put the miles on; and my wife is starting her own business so money will be better used there.
So I was looking for a new car at christmas as didnt know what I wanted so ended up buying my wife a corsa which she really wanted and I had the leon. Which I prob used most last year anyway as would use it for work trips; clocking up 15K with April.
But if I'm honest I want something else; something I can take a bit more pride in. Really I also need something practical but part of me also wants a soft top for the summer so maybe something like that then chop it in for something practical at the back end of the year.
Working on my leon being worth around £3K my budget is circa £8K but could go more for a newer complete car; or less if something for just the summer.
So far have been thinking
- MK2 Octavia VRS
- Mondeo ST TDCI - Although thinking they are starting to look dated
- Audi A4 convertible (prob 1.8T as not to bad on MPG)
- Nissan Qashqai - dont know why but like the look of these.
And even keep looking at BMW E39 M5's but thats prob a bit silly!!
Will be doing around 20K per year but pretty much paid for by work so the better the MPG the better for me but not a massive issue.
Also has to have rear seats as have a child and also have a dog so a hatch or estate would be best; but for the right car he can go in the back

I have been looking at them but if im honest a cab isnt going to be practical for a long term car so thinking spending less on a 1.8T might be better as a TBI is between £8k - £10K and a 1.8 can be had for £5K

I also fancy one of these one day, but not a car i'd keep, just something to rock about in for a while.

Must admit i do come up with the most original ideas, i mean saying an audi a4, a golf or a seat is just lame.

I hadnt thought of these; I do like them tho so will have a look around
As for the chrysler I cant say I like them.
Clio I think would be a bit small and feel a bit small on long journeys

If you get an xj you might as well get an r. Something to take pride in for sure with jag badge on the front and over 400bhp under the bonnet
