went over to McLaren Special Ops this week to "road test" the McLaren SLR Edition (one of only 3 currently made) i have to say, its the most engaging drives i've ever had. The power coming from that supercharged lump is something else. Had it out for about 5hrs.
the fact the speedo reads from 30mph-360mph was the first thing that got me.. lol.

Compared to the other silly cars i've driven this one is way up there. The pace, noise and road presence is like nothing else. (well maybe a Veyron/Zonda/Agera but i've not driven them yet)
the cabin was a bit small considering the size of the car, but i just about fit behind the wheel.

Here's a few photos taken by me and another chap..

Popped in to see Tom (Lemass) on my round trip, thought i was going to rip the front bumper off reversing out of his place. Thankfully i didnt lol.

Anyway.. enjoy the pics

Does it not read 30-360 kph?

223mph is more like it.

Probably the same as those 1.2 16v Clio Sports with 170mph on the clocks.

I'd imagine the speedo goes to 360 so that you can flip between MPH and KPH as it doesn't have a secondary scale.

That's where the thought came from

I think cars have to show MPH and KMH (in Europe at least) so that's why you normally have a secondary scale on them. On my Porsche there's a digital readout which flips between MPH and KMH because the analogue dial only shows MPH and looking at the dash it doesn't seem to have anything like that.

Is the pic of it on the bridge one of those little ones over the M25? Bet it sounds mad with those side exits bolted to the V8

yeah we went to that Misbourne road off of A413.
Its got a MSO Exhaust system on which is a sports exhaust system. They were going to fit the race system for us before we got there but said "it really is a bit too loud for day to day use" lol

Thought I recognised it - think it's the driveway for Isle of Wight farm.

ear defender spec exhausts are fun, when they're on other people's cars!
