First saw his corsa in a generic car mag and it looked black. Looked awesome and wanted my corsa to look like his.
Later found out it wasn't actually black iirc
A 174mph corsa b must be pretty scary.

He had the Ford burgundy 3door LET circa 300bhp with a stack dash and centre exit exhaust.

Was it a confirmed 174mph or just a guess?? Im a bit sceptical that it would hit those speeds with just 300bhp.

Gearing and aerodynamics are more important than power. A 300bhp Corsa has a stupendously power/weight ratio.
It was at Bruntingthorpe and datron timed IIRC

Weight doesn't have much to do with top speed, just how long it takes to get there. I'd have thought 300bhp sounds about right for 170mph though, 200bhp should see 140-150mph, doesn't seem too far fetched.

Weight has a lot to do with the power being effective. So it has a lot to do with it

The car was a good spec before hand.
From what I remember it was built by Will @ Cosvaux for his Mrs and was speced upto EDS Phs 3.5 seeing 300-350hp
