GZ is only a prologue to MGS V, isn't it? So not actually a full game?

Not sure on how big it'll be but it still looks epic.

I reckon phantom pain will be out autumn '14 is so not a big deal to wait. GZ will tide me over nicely I reckon.
I'm surprised no many are bothered for this but want over shitty COD etc.
I'll be picking this up release day and going into work the next day may he debatable

Haven't really played much MGS. Are they "stealth only" games or can you get away with a run and gun approach?
Don't mind stealth games as long as I can tank my way through, if I don't feel like sneaking.
The PS4 previews in the link look incredible.

metal gear solid can be playes how you want imo?
some parts you "have" to be stealthy but others you do what you want - i find it easier/ more fun being stealthy.
if youve never played them you definitly should have a blast, its a mad long story though - but really good

A run and gun approach on your first run is hard work but if you can replay with all your collected ammo and weapons like you could in mgs 4 then you can go mad the next time round.

Haven't tried a MGS game since PS2, so think I'll await the reviews.
I still have nightmares about the dreadful gameplay of Hitman Absolution and Last of Us, so I'll not be rushing in to another stealth game.
I'm hoping the formula is a bit like Tomb Raider, that I'm currently playing through.

It looks quite simelar to sc blacklist which I liked.
I think the story is a large part of mgs. Go play them through from the ps1 mgs

Gamplay does look fairly forgiving, once you fubar the stealth approach.

That's on normal though. If you played on hard work r extreme it'd be a different story
Kinda hope they keep the 'boss' fights too, this will be the first if they don't.

Only £20 as download on previous gen consoles.
Shouldn't take too long until retail versions for current gen are down to £25.

yeh agreed the story is a huge part of the game - you should definitly play the from the beginning!
and they better have boss fights.
still love the fight between vamp and raiden in MGS4.. feeling geeky now

Not really any chance I'm going back to play how ever infinitely many ancient MG games there's been made.
Especially since it'd require me to buy/emulate at least three different consoles I don't own.
Good thing they're releasing a prologue, then. Will brush up on the story online and give GZ a try.

Just preordered it.
£19,75 for PS4 with GameSeek, not too bad, even if the story might not make sense.

May pre order. Do they guarantee it through your door on release day?
