They have probably poked them with a poking device.
As it sits, scrap value.

Oh, and after all the umpteen threads on here about Halfrauds doing you over several times in the past, why do you insist on going back.

Not Halfrauds at all, got a trade card the other day and they're dirt cheap now
I wouldn't go to one of their autocentres though.

as nibnob trade cards awesome, but their autocentres I'd steer well clear, a reputable local family run test centre gets my hard earned ££'s for mots or any jobs I cba doing

Trade card on their professional range of tools is awesome. Get a discount and the tools have a lifetime guarantee. Mate at work got an £80 professional range torque wrench for £40!

Yeah with a card the tools are a brilliant deal, I got a tool set for about £120 down from around £180! And like you say, lifetime warrantee
Corsa 1.6 sport - 1
1.7 puma engined fiesta - 0
Keeping corsa's on the redline since 2008

The tools are good I agree - I was dissapointed that the lifetime warranty doesnt include ratchet components though, only defects in materials. I've had a fair few professional ratchets fail now with respect to mechanism.

its worth scrap money, I scrapped one the other day for £90. Refund on tax take any decents bits off and weigh it in.

Your scrapping a car because of a few small holes . Go to a welder and get it sorted will be cheaper than replacing your car

An mot is an mot. it would pass or fail regardless of where you took it.

I only know that factoid because there's one near me which I used to use - they were good when I used them for repairs and MOT's on my Punto

I don't think they're ''attached'' to the stores. They're seperate units.

quite a few are part of the building as a lot of halfords branches used to have workshop facilities from years ago.

In theory he is correct, an MOT is an MOT.
In reality everyone is aware that isn't the case.

It was more in relation to the "pass or fail regardless" part.

if people do their jobs properly like they are supposed to, and to the written law of an mot, it should not matter where you take it.
