Just gone to check in online and realised the wifes name on her passport is still her maiden name on the flight ticket its our married name! Anyone know the cost to change the name on the ticket? Shop is shut so cant phone them until tomorrow and its bugging me!!

When did you book it? I think there's rules that allow the maiden name if you've got proof you're married now, assuming its for a honeymoon or something? Sure I heard that the other day, but could just be rumours from random idiots

Well, after a quick Google seems you should of booked in her maiden name, looks like you can't do that any more.

You could probably get a new passport in a week?

How long have you got? If the airline won't allow it it'll be much cheaper to change the passport.

can you not book an appointment at the offices in Liverpool and get her passport changed? surely thatll be cheaper than new tickets.

Got an appointment 25th april for the 1 day service £128 and all done in 4 hours. Well pissed off!

Done the same with thomsons and I think it cost about £70. Just phoned them up and explained the situation

Obviously its not guaranteed, but you'll more than likely get it back within a week on normal check and send from the PO

Theres a premium service that guarantee 1 week but because the holiday they wont get it will wednesday so will be too close

Yeh will do first thing but not gonna hold my breathe with it been my fault. Its egypt its cursed for us! 3rd time we have booked and had to cancel the first 2 then booked this and all the bombs and stuff out there put us off at first and now this! Better be a good holiday now!

The bomb stuff is hundreds of miles away.

Cairo to sharm is about the equivilent of the distance between London and Glasgow, so pretty fucking far

There was an uprising when we went but all the locals care about is getting tourists money.

Baza y would i do that? Ben it dont bother it was the mrs apart from 1st time we booked years ago a bomb went off outside the hotel next door 5 days before we was going. Also there was a bomb dhahab in feb which is alot closer
