I saw the Yankees v Red Sox last year albeit in NY, I always enjoy baseball.

If I was heading to Boston I'd like to see the Team Hoyt statue. Wouldn't take long to do but what they've achieved is worth my time to go and find the statue.

Without googling it, Phillie might not be too far away. I found it well worth a day trip out to.

It's about a 5-6 hour drive (source: I've done it).

Ah it was only 2 from NY, at 5-6 hours it's probably not worth it.

I'm heading out for a few days in September and a friend of mine recommended doing the Freedom Trail as a good way to get to know the city and learn a bit of American History along the way.

When I went new York I watched a game of baseball and personally I thought it was boring. Then we watched ice hockey now that was well worth it.

You won't get tickets for the hockey very easily, Bruins are playing their biggest rival in the playoffs & it's $$$$$ even for the nosebleed seats

Worth it if you can afford it though!

Been sat in a bar all night, got talking to a local couple as there happened to be a Red Sox game on telly. They loved my accent of course, so straight away I had to explain the rules of cricket to them, which means I got an awesome baseball explanation in return

I reckon I'm clued up enough to manage a live game now

I'm in Burlington, just north of the city. Beer sounds good.

Was in a bar last night talking to a local couple, they told me loads of good places to see/eat/drink/go out but I've since forgot all of them.

My nans sister is currently living there. Married some American weirdo she met on Facebook.

Strangely, they're moving to England to live here. Fuck knows why. The real America must be shit.

well got back on Sunday

Got a message from Kyle but didn't get chance to meet up

Enjoyed it over there but didn't get that buzz feeling of other cities like Chicago or New York. Watched the Red Sox - in bad form of late but enjoyed the game. Had a wonder up to Salem which was also very interesting

Went Cheers bar - biggest let down ever but prudential tower was good for the view

Will post pics up later this week

Good there I thought, do the museums etc? Apparently its mental in October

I had my first "proper" day in the city yesterday, got the tube' in and did a 12hr pub crawl. Really enjoyed it and the weather held off too. I intended to go and do loads of tours etc, but after the first pub I was proper distracted and the rest is a blurred history.

I'm gonna do 3-4 days in NY hopefully before they ship me down to Atlanta permanently, never been there before. I think Boston has got its' charm, but there's nothing dropdead amazing about it.

Yes mate did the museums and had a great fish dish at the restaurants on the marina

Didn't know what to expect at Salem but enjoyed it

I like the area around Fenway as the bars are good especially beer works with blueberry beer

IPA is also huge over there now which was a bonus
