Some interesting squads coming out so far... big surprises (ish), Cashley cuntface, Carlos the monster, Gael wankyhair, Samir the goofy lesbian cunt and Erik Lamela (whoooooooo) all being left out of their respective squads whilst Adnan the worlds greatest ever player will be going to the WC with Belgium.
One funny point, the really ugly Italian striker whose name escapes me right now has been included after losing 10kg (?) from eating less focaccia.... bizarre.
Predictions?
Winners: Germany
Runners-up: Brazil
Third Place: Italy
Golden Boot: Neymar
Star Player: Mesut Ozil
Biggest Flop: Mesut Ozil (hedging my bets)
England to reach: Second round before going out on pens with Rickie Lambert missing the decisive pen

Where has this Januzaj being the worlds best player come from all of a sudden? Noticed a couple of people say it on here the past few weeks

Its the Arsenal fans Matt. They are intimidated by him. Like they were Chicarito. They will try signing him in a few years.

To be fair though, against Hull he looked amazing in that central role, almost Ronaldo'esque,
But for him to be deemed that good it needs to be week in week out

just an absurd amount of fuss about a very talented but ultimately inconsistent 19 year old. Ridic.

One of my students is good friends with Januzaj. True story.
He came over from France and had trials with United and Wigan. United sent him to FC United for a while then he got injured and ended up playing semi pro for Salford FC. He now works in TGI Friday's. Sound lad though.
He's potentially going to go back into football. He's only 20

In fact, bt he gets injured at eekend and doesn't go.
Pretty sure I don't need to worry but our players wh are off to WC better not be worrying about injuries on Sat.

As Robbo said, the ridiculous amount of crap coming from the press when he scored a couple of goals against bottom of the league, and then statements from people like Steve saying how amazing he was in 1 game against a less than average side. His volley against Sunderland was good, other than that I've not seen him set the world alight. Especially seeing as a lot of the media hype was similar to when Macheda scored a couple of goals for United and was instantly named Biggest prospect in football.
As for the world cup...
Can't see it being a european side, and I don't think it will be Brazil, hopefully Argentina, with Messi guiding them there then he might be allowed to be the best ever. Some crazy odds for Top Scorer/Winner bets on Bet365, some Costa Rican and Carlos Borges at 2000/1 was on there for some reason, as well as an Iranian bloke - Argentina and Messi - 16/1, Argentina and Christiano - 66/1

Don't remember any of the media hailing him as a wonder kid repeatedly through out the last season. He got a bit of praise when scored a couple of goals against Sunderland but after that the only things I remember him being in the press for were going on an unsuccessful date to Nandos and the possibility of him being able to play for England

Few relatively poor squads being announced but I suppose that leaves it open for folk to make a name from themselves.
Biggest surprise thus far has been Spain, taking Torres and Itturaspe and not taking Isco. Seems utterly absurd although I would hazard a guess neither will start and neither would Isco.
France have a much better squad than I thought they had as well, they'll be starting with a front 3 of; Ribery, Benzema and Griezmann.

I hadn't noticed Isco was out, bizarre!
Re. France, their 5 forward players are Giroud, Benzema, Remy, Griezmann and Ribery... 4 of those 5 could potentially be at Arsenal next season

Still 7 players to be dropped from Spain's squad so Torres still might not go. They've listed 6 forwards, 3-4 of those could be dropped for a start?

I would be taking Costa and Negredo and leaving Torres well alone

If Spain are still playing the same way they were last time I watched them there's no point in them taking any more than 1 or 2 strikers
