Split the avi using other software into 45 mins chunks then write it using 'VCD' in nero. There's also SVCD but you need a plugin for that (better quality though)...

This to play in a dvd player right?

no, i downloaded a film and just want to put it on cd as i need the HD space

Oh right. Well just burn the file as usual on a cd then... then you can watch it from the cd just how you watch it from your hdd... nothing special needed...

when i go on Nero do I need to select audio cd or data cd though?

use the overburn option in advance if they are over 700mb

how do i put a divx to make it work as a vcd?
coz theyre diff to mpeg etc
or do i have to convert to mpeg/avi first
