I have an AllStar one, provided by work but for both Business & Personal use.
I can use Allstar almost anywhere, apart ffrom the very independent Fuel Stations. It can be used at all Supermarket stations too.

We have AllStar at the college I work at. As djgritt says accepted in most places however I think going forward they are introducing a transaction charge each time it's used at a non-Tesco filling station, so we have to use Tesco only

I have a Shell one through work for the company whip.
Can be used at Shell, Texaco...few others. I get to claim Shell Points too which is a bonus.
With this scheme my company gets all fuel at a discounted fixed price, regardless of the price at the pump.

It won't work at everywhere in the country. 99% of places.

We used Key Fuels cards a while ago. They weren't cheaper as such, the price was based on an average price minus a few pence so at motorway services, you'd be better with a card but at supermarkets it'd be cheaper to pay the pump price. We got the impression it was more a way for employers to check up on fuel usage and not having to trust staff with a company credit card. It wasn't generally any cheaper than filling up at a local garage. Whether others are different I don't know but the Key Fuels cards didn't really serve a purpose for us.

We have BP fuel cards for our vans at work. At the end of the year the company get a huge bill for all our fuel. I think they use to keep track of mileage too. Obviously only accepected I'm BP.

You will only get reduced fuel costs at bunker sites. I've used Shell, Key Fuels and BP. BP offer best coverage so far.
What size of fleet are you wanting to run the fuel cards on?

I used to have an Allstar card. I never got turned a way anywhere!
I just use Morrisons at the moment, think we are saving the £5 vouchers for Christmas. Hopefully not to long before getting another company car.

Surely if you can carry a fuel card you can carry a credit/debit card?

The only saving grace with a fuel card is that normally they have a little cubby hole/slot that they are meant to be in (My alfa, the Prius, mum's SLK and a couple of Dad's last cars did)... but I think it's more of a hassle than it's worth!

You don't have a debit card? Are you living in some weird 1950's world?
