i have a set of alloys with tyres already on and an apex suspension kit to get fitted. i got quoted for the lot at a local garage £90, i thought a bit steep, but not too bad on the whole.

i went to a vauxhall dealer near me and asked the same question: the receptionist told me, (was written on paper, and was unsure about tellin me ) that it would take 2.25hours to just fit the rear shocks on, then i was told that it would take then 5-6 hours to fit a sus kit and put wheels on! this would cost near enough £400 to fit the goods i supply!

i said "i could buy an irmscher (spelling) suspension kit and have it fitted for that" he goes , yeah. LOL

p.s im not getting it done there! pmsl

I'm pretty apprehensive of doing mine.

Luckily I've got a mate that seems (?!) to know what he's doing, so I'll just stand and watch as he does it

Vauxhall would probably charge about an hour labour to take a set of wheels off and bolt them back on again!

I find the rears more difficult as its a pain in the arse to get at the top of the shock behind the panels in the boot.

No difference on the front, cos u still have to compress it. Bit easier on the back as u dont really need to take out the damper.
