Picked this up today after winning it on eBay.
55 plate 1.9 CDTi SRi 150. 72k on the clock.
Looked at a few for him, club models with 90k for near on £2k
So spotted this on eBay and they guy has wonder it since 2007, always servied at Vaux.
Said I'd bid on it for him we agreed £1950, considering the mileage I expected it to so over £2k tbh.
Won it at £1650! He's chuffed to bits, so been to Chester Le Street today to collect it and I've driven it back. It's actually faultless. The blokes under sold it! Has a bit of rust on n/s arch and bonnet wants painting but I'll sort that for him. It's averaging 49.5mpg too, that's over 25k miles on the trip too, not just on the journey back.
Lovely car and a bargain IMO.

Still mines done 162k on a 05 plate and not had any major issues at all.

Not anything to worry about? Apart from the few hundred pound repair bill?
As mark said. Swirl flaps. Usually you get a good amount of notice before they fully go. You get abit of hunting and what not. Looks tidy though to be fair.
Brilliant engines when there running right. Pull like a bloody train they do.

Alts are a piece of cake to fix. It's usually just the clutches that go on the alternators. About £25-30 for them. Easy to remove the alt too.

Exactly what I thought, a lot of car for money I think. It's a work horse for him mainly. Replaces his 1.8 LS vectra B. So loads better.
The bloke even chucked in 2 spare alloys and tyres he'd bought for winter. Will prob keep one as spare and sell the other.

Also I get mint discount at Vaux. So most things aren't too bad, it's due a service so I'll service it for him with Vaux parts.

About £500 - £600 for a new manifold fitted. Yeah nothing to worry about.

As long as it gets used on motorways should not have any problems with the DPF filter changed a few and they are like over a £1000 new from Vauxhall other than that good buy Andy

Bargain. I fitted a tuning box to the one I sold recently and it flew. Sold it on 206k as dmf had just started to rattle. Was original one too.

IIRC they do not have a DPF. Main culprits are sticking EGR valves and clogged swirl flaps.

Mines had two starter motors as I didn't spot a small leak from the fuel filter housing. It's directly above the starter motor and was dripping onto it. They were £185 each IIRC.

Only an idiot would pay money like that for an inlet manifold on a car of that age there plenty second hand manifolds out there now plus kits to fix the swirl flaps and even the kits to remove them completely http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360868991646 so no nothing to worry about at all.

This. The valves seize. The kits by pass the EGR but the EML is displayed.
The seals on the valves can leak too. Second hand manifold is not guarantee it will be in decent shape.
