Anyone going this year I managed to get some freebies from Mercedes again this year looking forward to seeing Sebastian loeb attempting to break the hill record in his pikes peak Peugeot and seeing the p1, Porsche 918 and the new Ferrari

Been every year since 2000. Has become a bit of a tradition. It's usually the only cool thing i'm guaranteed to get done every year, come what may and come rain or shine.
Can't see it happening this year though, as no cunt wants to go and I have no transport at the mo. Bad times.

I'm going Thursday - Sunday.
First time I've been since I was down with my 2nd cousin in 2003 and he set the fastest time of the weekend and unofficially beat Nick Heidfeld's record. He completed the run in under 41 seconds.

Thursday isn't worth it tbh you can get free tckets quite easy for it though. Jambeno what stand are you on are you there all weekend

Nothing happens on the Thursday, it's pre ordained for people test driving cars they want to buy up the hill.
Which is great for them but nothing else really interesting happens.

Last year was immense. The sun, beer, ice cream, hot girls, the smell of oil and petrol in the morning.
Take a ride in the bowler wildcat if it's there again. It's quite fast for a 4x4

Jambo is right its not the full show experience, its the moving motorshow so its only the show cars from the event going up the hill etc, i've been going for the last 3yrs normally do the sat so seen it all before, thurs is good for all the freebies from the mini car dealerships etc, last year didn't have to buy much food or drink for the amount of free stuff they gave away they soon run out before fri, sat, sun has even started, also another good thing is just showing your car key at the correct dealership for free drinks, see everything else the same so can't complain really, my mate managed to source free tickets they give so many away each year  normally in newspapers like the independent gotta be quick tho!

I went on Thursday for for my first ever visit to the fos,People say there is no point going on this day and i can see why but it was a good day none the less.
I was there for 7 hours didn`t stop walking and only seen half of it,Father in law drove the new Megane rs265 up the hill at 6pm(last slot) lucky bugger.
Will be going next year without doubt but maybe on a different day.
