Fairly sure I got clocked at 82/83mph this morning by a mobile unit on the A34 dual carriageway; clean license although did a speed awareness course 2 years ago.

What's the likely outcome? Place bets now!!

Can only do speed awareness once ever 3 years I know this as I did one last week!!

Certainly points and the fine will be dependant on what the speed limit is on that stretch? I'm guessing 60 or 70?

NSL on dual carriageway so 70mph; might have scrubbed some speed off but not much. Was on cruise control at 85mph dash speed 82mph on the Sat. Nav.

If you've done a speed awareness course do you not get hit with the three points off that offense as well?

Just a guy at work did one and was told if he got caught again ( think it was within 12 months ) he'd get hit with the points. Because of that reason alone I'd just have the points..

Will more than likely be the points, but they do sometimes make mistakes and give you another course. I had a speed awareness course a few months ago and I was told by the organisers that if I got caught again and offered the course, to take it

They will not issue you with points from a previous offence the whole point of doing the awareness course is to avoid the points, once a course is done if you get caught again within 3 years you will automatically go straight to pointsville and not be offered a course unless there is some kind of admin error and they do offer you one in which case jump at the opportunity!!

All being said I'd say 99% sure it's going to be 3points and £100 fine

Think it's £100 and 3 points within 3 years of doing the speed awarness course.

Whittie is probably the man in the know how

I'm wanting to get 100k out the 308, i've even started looking after it

Drivers awareness was decent I thought. Some silly stuff there of course but some good bits taken away from it.

I did mine 2 years ago.

I got clocked at 80 in Dad's Prius (85 on the dash, 80/81 on the nav) - never got anything, so I'm going to place the bet of nothing from it at all.
