I'm trying to compile a list of types of environments which have either/both a fire pump or a generator.
Got a huge list of companies, but there must be plenty more places which have them which are slipping my mind.

A lot of farms have back up generators especially dairy farms so they can still milk during power cuts. Also most production factories should have them

Building sites are often run off generators, especially the welfare areas.

What rig work shep?
Have hospitals, various factories and Farms on the list.
Building sites are using portable power. Not really what I want. As we mainly maintain fixed gensets and fire pumps

Our (private) school has one, only covering the main IT systems (infrastructure only) and school kitchen.
We do have an (unwritten) promise to parents that we will never close, hence being at least able to heat and feed them if not teach.

post your list up here, otherwise we're pissing in the wind.
Most big companies will have backup generators, particularly public service companies, Gas / Water / electrical / british rail / royal mail, in addition all the SCADA data centres for all of the above.

I work at a large water treatment works. We have diesel generators for back up power. As do most of the smaller treatment works.
Larger sewage works usually have engines that are run off the methane produced by digesting sludge. These run constantly to power the site/feed into grid not so much for emergency.

I've only ever seen gas turbines in places like offshore, bacton and the power stations.
I've never seen anywhere with gas turbines and no diesel generators either.
