Went to the nurburgring and was spoilt for choice on passenger rides on other peoples cars...

Put a lot of thought into and decided I want to move on, want something either 4wd or RWD and must have a turbo, really want boost

Dont want put more money into the corsa, should have 5k next week to play with and then sell the corsa for mods on the new car

Did Some searching and narrowed down to 3 cars at one point for cars iv always wanted
Subaru Impreza
Mitsubishi Evo 5
Nissan 200sx

Looked into it more detail for insurance and tax and servicing, Evo is too expensive so narrowed it down to a Subaru Impreza or a 200sx

Just need advice on which one to get, just worried Subaru's are ragged and not sure to get a Sti or a Wrx? And heard the 2.5 engines are made of chocolate?? But have always want both the scooby or the nissan

Advice need please and looking to buy in the next week or so

Only gonna get a wrx for that budget unless you got a bug. Wouldn't bother with anything less than an STI personally.

Have you looked at the early Evo's like a 2 or 3? They are ugly as fuck but have a very pure driving experience, no aids to go wrong, the steering and balance is very good. They are well under budget for a good one.

I have owned all 3 of your choices 200sx was a fantastic car great fun great to drive fairly cheap to modify etc since I owned mine though they have climbed in value considerably to the point where a decent one is evo money and I'd have an evo over a 200sx all day long, my Subaru was a classic shape there great too but repair bills when they go wrong can be expensive clutches are a pain and head gaskets too engine out jobs but in saying that getting them in and out isn't a bad job and once out there easy to work on too, the one I had was 400bhp and fairly highly specced and iv not owned a car since that made me smile like that did !

It's the 6 monthly servicing that really does my nut in about Evo's!

Early evo's...too ugly for me but see what your saying about easy to mod donk

Already had an E46 328ci (ok it's not an M3) but don't fancy a BM again, plus iv always wanted a turbo car

200sx's have had my eye for a while but they are a bit thin on the ground, not too many about, there are some unmolested examples but they are asking full budget so no money for mods but insurance is dirt cheap, actually surprised me, look the cheapest to run out the lot

But classic shape scoobys I always love, worked on a few when I was younger, wanted one when I was a kid and the boxer engine is a really cool noise, loads for sale

Yeh Evo is out of the running just purely because of the upkeep, defo narrowed down to a scooby or an sx now, anyone spots some good ones let me kno
