They get hate because the work they do is often slapdash (less so with Jed, tbf) and aesthetically looks dreadful. Can't argue with Jed's results, but the taste on this site seems to be leaning towards the neat and tidy side of modifying stuff.

Also, Jed gives his cars stupid names - which is fucking gay and annoys me, but I'm just speaking for myself.
