it was a shame to cut it up, but there wasn't much left of the back end and I made it into a pick up to save time / work.

but still cool all the same

i did 3 weddings with it but I wouldn't recommend it.....stressed out brides and the insurance killed the wedding job.

the cab body and rear tub were both built in my workshop (its not big enough for a full car) then it was all assembled and painted on the drive. the only original parts are the doors, wings, bonnet, radiator grill and lights etc.
its a new cab body built from scratch and the tub built to match.

thanks for the comments

Mental that people are suggesting it should have been kept as it was. Even if it was perfectly straight this is 10x the car, looks brilliant mate.

I did want to go down the rover v8 route and air ride suspension but after looking into it, the car would of lost its 'historic vehicle' status and road tax would have to be paid

but there are ways and means and I have sourced an engine.......a 1951 Alvis 3 litre straight six
the engine is seized so its planned to be my winter project, rebuilding it.

the firewall may need some modification to fit it, but it is a straight fit on the existing gearbox.

as for exhausts.....I was toying with stacks up the back of the cab but I don't want it to look 'tacky'
the exhausts maybe something to think about when the fresh engine is fitted

I am also considering having some alloys made at some point, the pcd and wheel size is imperial so no alloys will fit, I have tried many.

once again, thanks for the comments

Any pics of it done?

As for alloys, surely its cheaper to have pcd adaptors made?

Why not get an old ford v8? They made those pretty early
