Has anyone had any luck burning Satnav discs?

I'm trying to Burn a Mercedes Tele-atlas DX CD, I have the CloneCD image (CCD/IMG/SUB files) and I'm burning it with CloneCD using the Teleatlas profile but I'm having no luck getting the bastid satnav to read the disk

I'm guessing its a hardware or media issue, I've tried it on 3 different machines but always using the same 700MB TDK media.. Does anyone have any suggestions?

If the CD burns correctly on your computer but your Merc has a problem reading the CD, I'd try a different brand of CD-R.

I did one for a Nissan years ago but it just worked, used whatever DVD-R's I had in stock!

Media is the usual issue; last time i ended up going through 4/5 different manufacturers (ended up using TDK) to find one the cars DVD drive would read.
It's also worth burning the disc as slowly as possible.

To add insult to injury I carefully followed the instructions that detailed a full strip-down and clean but only as I replaced the top back on the unit (fully assembled) did I notice the Laser was accessible without stripping it down.. FML!
