I've got a car with TAX and insurance but no MOT.

Can I dolly it legally if not booked in for an MOT? Just needs moving from one place to another.

Can't see why not, it's technically just a trailer in that form.

A few google hits suggests that if it has wheels on the ground, it needs tax, MOT, etc.

It does seem a grey area though.

Whenever Andrew posts anything, I ALWAYS look - because 9 times out of 10 it's hilarious. I suspect most of the internet does the same.

Has to have tax and mot unless all wheels are off the ground.

I looked into it when scrapping my puma shell. I chanced it in the end and was fine. Was about 15 miles in total

A cunt's trick is to book it into a garage near where you are taking it for an MOT, drive it to your destination then call and cancel said MOT. if the police were to check, you can get them to call the garage and confirm

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
