Bought this off of Steve just over a week ago now
I now it's a track car but there were a lot of rattles and noises so my aim has to been to reduce some
Think this was one of the worst manifold right on the anti roll bar even with lowering blocks on the antiroll bar brackets. So I lowered the tie bars
This worked but the anti roll bar was now way to low so will make up some new blocks which want be as thick. Want to keep the anti roll bar as it a bit of a sum gaurd
Changed the wheels as well as old ones were catching the arches
Not sure what to do engine wise. Love the 2ltr power but have a 1.6 engine with throttle bodies sitting in the garage. Also when these engines get wired in does the eml get connected? It's on all of the time but not sure weather that's because it's not wired in properly

Standard battery moved from boot to behind the passenger seat and replaced with a smaller racing type
Just need to tidy up the cable
Also fitted a battery kill switch in a panel where the ash tray used to be

So nice to see someone putting the battery in a better location, so many people seem obsessed with putting it in the boot when that's worse than just leaving it in the engine bay!

Surely can't make that much difference compared to the amount of weight up front with engine and driver etc ?
Wouldn't having the fuel tank further back be worse too then?

Yes there is the argument that the standard fuel tank is in the perfect place but the alloy one weighs quite a bit less. I will try and get the old one weighed when I remove it.
The battery was in the boot but now lower and smaller

Good to see you're looking after bumblebee Stu
Good move on the battery and fuel system, I had the battery inside as it's a god send when you have to adjust/remove the gear linkage, gives loads of room to work round the back of the engine

Dash changed for a black one
Bit of a pain as I couldn't get the roll cage to split
Smaller denso alternator on engine just waiting on bracket before I can fit it

Don't get why it's came out through the bottom? Unnecessary hassle, and as allready said that axle stand set up is asking for trouble ,bet that wobbles like mad, would be a shame to splatter blood and guts all over that nice block paved driveway
