Folks,

I have a stupid question, mainly because I can't think how to best describe the requirment so as to google it.

I want to fill a cell with colour with it changin from red to green on a slide scale dependant on the number within.

Running an applicaiton rollout and I am tracking % done again % due to be done, and I just want a fancy conditional formatting or something to give a graphical representation also.

Any suggestions?

Could do it via VBA, adjusting the RGB values of the cells Interior.Color property; don't believe there is a 'pure' Excel method though (could be wrong).

In excel 2013 which i use (probably works in older versions) highlight the column of data, colour them red.

Then in the ribbon, Home>Conditional formatting>Data bars> Solid fill green

Assuming the highest figure in your column is 100% and lowest is 0%, it will do as you describe

Conditional formatting would do this but you would need to add a couple of different ones to show the different colours[stages] based on the values you need.

Just use colour scales on conditional formatting?
