Well the Astra met its unfortunate end recently after someone pulled out on me near my work.
Picked this up a couple of days ago, BMW 530i auto, 120k with full service history, black leather, xenon headlights and recently had the rear springs replaced (heard this was a common problem)
Has a couple of little bits here and there that need tidying up, its also badged up as an Alpina even though it isn't so I'll probably replace them with the standard badges.
Excuse the poor iphone pics.
And a couple of pictures from earlier this year from the previous owner.
It's a very much welcome change from the Astra, enjoying the comfort and quality, first non-Vauxhall I've actually owned so just getting used to it before I do anything to it.
Did think about M Sport bumpers but don't like the idea of trying to colour match to the rest of the car, so might just try some sort of lower splitter on the front instead.
I'm sure there is a couple of people on here who know a lot more about these than I do, so any idea's or simple modifications I can make that you could recommend would be ideal.
Cheers!

If you want to make it look shit you could fit tiny wheels and paint them blue

I do like the current wheels but I'd like to go bigger, nothing too fancy, maybe a set of style 37's as I quite like the look of them.

Dechrome it. I always think they look better with no chrome around the windows like the M Sport featured.

Same engine as my Z4, M54?
Good engine if so, pretty much bomb proof.
I do like these with the msport kit on.

One of my fave BMs. Used to drive a 530i a sport on 19" Alpinas. Was a wonderful blend of comfort, solid engineering, steering feel and chuckability.
Don't bother throwing cash, just get an a sport when you're used to this. E39's are very desirable so should have no probe trading up

I'm yet to test what it will do to a tank but im prepared for the many fuel stops coming my way.
Yep de-chroming the window surrounds is on my list of things to do, guessing vinyl wrap will be the easiest solution?
I'm not to clued up on engine codes yet, but not the first time I've had the words bomb proof mentioned when talking about the engine.
Cheers Jambo, doubt I will be putting any money into this one other than maintenance and a couple of little bits, just going to enjoy the change then maybe look to upgrade in a years time.
